  • wing electrical wire size

Does anyone know what the correct size of wire you should run in the wings for a standard set of wing lights. Is 18 gauge enough?

18 gauge for just nav lights is fine.

Yes, 18 gauge is fine,I used 14 gauge but only because it's what I had on hand at the time.

thanks for the replys. My BC12D still has the 337 for a battery electrical set up so I fiugured I may as well put in the wires.

I ran #18 for my position lights and #16 for the my Aero Flash strobes. They have individual power units in each wing. Don't forget to run a ground back to the ground bus or the engine.
