Re: Valdez happenings
Hope to be there. Am out of Mexico and in Apache Junction, AZ for a few days.
Got to go through Tucson's Pima Air and Space Museum the other day...I love airplanes, but that enormous collection just about "airplaned" me to death!
Saw examples of aircraft we hired to haul salmon for us in Alaska(C-82, C-119 & DC-6) and an old BT-13, the first airplane I can remember (@age 4 or 5) as my dad rode over our orchard with a local pilot. DickDick Smith N5207M TF#159

Re: Valdez happenings
Getting a bunch of us together sounds like a great idea. So far we've been maxing out at 4 airplanes for our get togethers and I know we can do way better than that! I wouldn't expect to be very competitive with my "off the showroom floor" run of the mill F-19, but I know a couple of us have some 'Super-T' versions that are great performers. We need to get Pete down there again, plus a few others.

I like that idea. It will be fun to see how these machines stack up. I think with a day or two of dedicated practice we can shake off a lot of rust.
Ward and Pete both did a good job at Valdez last year. They both made the most of the equipment they were flying...

Re: Valdez happenings
If I could get my brakes to work at all I would get a better landing distance, and be a little more competitive with you guys. As it is, it doesn't really matter as long as I hit the right spot.Catch the fish, to make the money, to buy the bread, to gather the strength, to catch the fish...
