  • A65 RMPs and cruise speed

    I flew Miss T from Anchorage to Dillingham yesterday. And I was wondering what kind of rpms people usually cruised at, and what kind of speed it gave you.

    2200 RPM, Sensenich W72CK42, 90 indicated.

      On my way here I was fiddling around, and at 22 I was doing around 80 sometimes 85, at 23 I was doing 85 to 90. I have a 74 38. I've been thinking I'm a little slow...

        Block stock A-65 Continental engine with 7445 prop on a BC12D, 1900 rpm @ 1500 msl = 92 mph IAS with just me and 10 gals of fuel. Load up to max gross and drop 4-5 mph.

          My last two t-crafts,one A65 with a 74/45 metal prop was 110mph at 2200,100-105 at 2100. The other was A75 with a climb prop 105 at 2150,110-115 at 2250

            93 mph @ 2200 rpm, thats at about 1050 lb total weight with a Sensenich W72CK42.
