  • Bent bird - need parts

My friend who is 55+ years old and does not own a computer asked me to help find him some parts for his 46' t-craft. He had a small problem durring the flare while landing (droped it in from about 10' up!) and bent the right main gear leg, broke the tailwheel off, and bent the lower 8" of the rudder. Does anyone have a useable right main gear leg?Maybe some new tail wheel springs, and a rudder. There is a fly-in at the Concreet airport here in WA next month and it would be nice to bring the t-craft. I will take some photos as soon as posible to show the damage.

    Bent Bird

    Jason,
I have a right gear leg but it has some light surface rust on it(no pitting).I have an original factory taylorcraft tailwheel and springs(has the name taylorcraft stamped on it)that has never been used, just like brand new.I also have a rudder but the bottom is rusty and would need a small piece of tubing replaced.

I posted some info here three or four weeks ago from a fellow in California who was parting out his Tcraft. If you can find that message you might be in luck.
