    Re: Friendly Fields

Stop for ice cream (and/or lunch, dinner...) at Mt. Victory, Ohio http://www.airnav.com/airport/O74

Packer Airport, just east of Mt. Victory, is also a good stop, http://www.airnav.com/airport/5E9, Richard Packer does my airplane insurance.

Glenndale Airport in Kokomo, IN is another good one, http://www.airnav.com/airport/8I3

Haven't been to Auburn, IN in a while but the Auburn-Cord-Duesenburg Museum is there, and they used to come out and get you at the airport so you could see the museum. http://www.airnav.com/airport/KGWB

Also, LaPorte, IN http://www.airnav.com/airport/KPPO , and see if you can get a ride to the Door Prairie Museum

      Re: Friendly Fields

I'm looking at a couple of alternate routes to OSH.
First going south of the Washington ADIZ through WVA, S. Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois.

Alternate north of the ADIZ and Pittsburgh, through Alliance, etc..

I have family near Aurora, so will likely make an overnight there, before on to OSH.

Any more ideas of friendly fields, or places to meet the tribe along these routes?
