I'm in the process of removing most of my Airtex interior to get my cabin back to factory original. The carpet, door upholstery panels, and boot cowl upholstery panels have come out. Now I'm wondering about the design authenticity of my Airtex seat cushions.
Does anyone know if the '46 standard BC12-D seat cushions were all cloth, all leatherette vinyl, or a combination of cloth and vinyl like I have?
The overhang skirt along the front edge of my lower cushion looks like what I see in some photos in Chet Peek's book. My Airtex back cushion has skirt "wings" on both sides to close off some of the gap back into the fuselage. But the back cushion also has a flap with four snaps that would appear to snap onto the baggage compartment tube -- that looks questionable. Anybody still have some original cushions for comparison?
