I need help. my oil temperature line broke right at the bulb. Can this be repaired? Or will I have to find a new or used gage that is all intact? does anyone have one that would fit a BC12-D. I have a C85 in my plane.
If it is able to be repaird, can any one recommend a good repair shop? Thanks in advance for any help.......

    Re: Broken

The capillary tube has ether in it, and the design is very fragile when you consider taking this bulb out when cleaning the oil screen. A small crack in the capillary allows the volatile ether to escape. Although this instrument can technically be repaired, it is cheaper to replace the entire instrument and tubing. You can get a new oil temp gage through Aircraft Spruce, Wag Aero, etc. in various lengths - 48" should be sufficient. I have "been there - done that" many times! Doc
