  • right landing gear.

I need a right landing gear for a BC12 D. Mine is in great shape with no rust , but there is a dent in the top of the front tube. The dent was caused by the step hitting the tube when the shock cord let loose 34 years ago. I can probably patch it but would preffer not to. Also does anyone know the purpose of the small screws in the top. they appear to be a spot for lubercation of the gear bolts?

    Laz,

    The screws are for lubrication.

I suggest you repair your own landing gear. There is a posting on this site about a guy in Colorado that has some for sale, but he wants $400 for them. That is waaay more than I am willing to pay. If you have the ability to weld, it would not be too difficult to replace one tube on the landing gear.

If you are fabricating or repir the gear, make jig from it before you cut anything!

        Laz,
If you aren't set-up for repairing it you can send it to Wag Aero and they can repair it for you-talk to Tom O,Neil @ext 124. Also they are making new steps now if you happen to need them.
If anyone has a lower windshield fairing for a pattern they can send for a pattern they will start making them also.
