A couple of us did a $100 hamburger run Alaska style today. Here are a few pictures to share with the T-Craft flock. The last picture features Mt. Redoubt volcano in the distance at sunset. The hamburgers were delicious!
I really love your pictures, keep them coming, I wish I had more time to fly, but I am always working on somebodys plane. Your pictures make me want to pull my floats off and go flying, seeing how its about 6 above and the lakes are covered with ice, its time.
OMG what is that stuff on the horizon? We have a big high sitting on us here in central Calif. and the air is pretty gross outside, so it is on my mind. Combo of forrest fires and industrial crap here I guess. Thought it would be CAVU up there, even at sunset. Is that from China? Chuckle.

Darryl, don't worry...we don't have enough cars here to make the 'air sludge' you're talking about and forest fire season ended about two months ago! It's just good old humidity, or dust, or a combination of both. 100% natural glacier silt most likely!
Larry, one of these days we're going to drop into Wolf Lake and kidnap you and force you to come along on one of our adventures! Just say the word and we'll drop in and drink your coffee at your house or hangar!
Here are a couple of pics from the previous day. After a delicious reindeer stew lunch in Talkeetna, Steve Long and I had to make an unscheduled stop in Willow to wait for a snow squall to pass by...after a two hour visit with his A&P in his warm hangar we continued on home...
Well good, as I always think of Alaska as being pristine sano pure. Really nice photo's. Looks like a couple of real do it kind of airplanes. Doing it. Good stuff.
