Just got back from the Antique Aircraft Assoc. flyin in Blakesburg. By Friday there were five Funks and only one lonely T-craft (Jim Z's). I was getting a 'funky' feeling that the Tribe might be outshown!! Well Saturday rolled around and we were vindicated. Carl and Mary C. brought their newly rebuilt 1940 B, and it is a knock out! Steve J. flew in with new black stripes, I think he picked up 5 mph! A guy named Joe brought in his blue and white bird (think it was a '40). 20447 a 1939 B open cowl cont. (only five #'s off from mine) was there with it's owner. An orange bc12D, a yellow and blue w/ red trim '39? open cowl, and a white fastback L-2 all showed up. So I shook off my funk and had a great time talking with these guys and looking at planes. The theme of this years show was the 75th anniversery sp. of the airmail. See if you can name the planes in the line up. More pics later.
