      Thanks Lee & Shirley!!!

      Lee & Shirley,

      Great Gumbo!

I enjoyed meeting you all and seeing a little of south Louisiana. You've got a great setup there at your place...heaven on earth for an airplane lover. The weather was absolutey perfect and it also gave me an excuse to do about 5 hours of flying yesterday. The Lafayette area has a totally different character than north Louisiana. It's all trees up here. Down there a lot of water, but many nice homes and farms in the outlying areas. I couldn't believe how many grass strips there are in your area! What a great flying location.

Lee, you'll have to post some pictures for the benefit of those who couldn't be there. Thanks again...looking forward to next year.

Brady , Vic, Cary (Gumbo Fly-In)

Thank you guys for coming down south to God's Country, "Where the swamp begings and the fun never ends"

Enyoyed having you here and all the others . We had nearly 100 people that showed up to eat good Cajun Gumbo, see real nice airplanes. A total of 25 aircrafts of all sorts arrived. Four of which were T-Crafts.

My former Super Acro Sport (200 hp) Full inverted systen flown by James Thibodeaux, put on a very nice airshow. The Ultra lights gave many rides to many kids and kids at heart. I gave a few rides in my Yellow duck. Pictures will be posted.

Hopefully , next year we can have more T-Carts come down. It was also my birthday,67 yrs old, and we have this fly-in almost every year, weather permitting.

There was over 100 gallons of Gumbo, 20 lbs of rice, and 20 lbs of Potato Salad comsumed, plus the Chocalate Cake to die for. The final people departed after 7 pm.

Gary arrived from Atalanta GA. in his T-Craft with his 17 yr old son , a six hour flight , about noon time, and left to vist a mutual friend in Stennis MS, ( We both worked for Gene Phillips doing Crop Dusting back in the 60's)

The weather could not have been more perfect, the people were great. We really had a great time.

        Next Year Again.
