Holy moly Batman, that is really some gunk. Is most of it lead crunch? That is my name for the little chunks of lead (oxide?) that look like cat litter.
I had maybe 10 pieces of that in my oil strainer when I did my check of the engine just after I bought the 12D-85. None since then, except in the bottom spark plugs.
Looks like there is some other stuff in there too. You may want to pull and clean the oil tank on that one.
Good luck.

Mike,
Engine was last run in 1992.
After doing a lot more cleaning I determined that the goo was congealed oil.
The oil in the engine was very clean, but somewhat darker yellow than normal Aeroshell. Inside the valve covers there was a layer of yellow grease that was also just ancient oil.
Frankly I was amazed to get good oil pressure immediately on engine start.
Yesterday we did a good long engine run and changed the oil again. The screen was clean that time.
