  • n44338 flying again after 18 months

I got back in the air this pass weekend after being grounded by health reasons and AD"s.
Just like riding a bike, you don't forget how.
    Got a problem
It fly left wing heavy, she want to turn left
need to hold right rudder in or drop right wing.
searching the board found information on washing the wing in or out.
how about putting the rudder tap back on an trying to correct it that way.
any and all comments or information welcome
    thanks

If it's wing heavy the wash in should be adjusted not rudder.

    I have a bendable/adjustable rudder tab.

wash in meaning shorting the rear strut of the left wing?
something must of changed since the struts were removed for inspection,
we tagged them when they were removed and they came back with the tags still on them.
when I last flew the plane a year and half ago it flew hands off.

First add enough aileron to correct the turning tendancy. If it flies coordinated and straight with aileron input, then correct the wing wash. If the ball is not centered, try using rudder to correct instead. You could end up needing some of both.

thanks for the input, will fly it again and check, if i remember correctly, I had the wheel off centered to the right and it stopprd turning but the ball in the slip indicator was not centered.
will check again later today, you might be right about needing both.
