main fuel tank removal

has any one replaced a main fuel tank?. is there a secret? i just went though all the new ad's and got my plane up and flying.on my test flight my eye would water, got back to the hanger and found an old repair. pulled off the goober and found out that my tank was rusted through. i pulled all the panel off lowed the h bar ,removed the cross bars and i still cant wiggle the tank out. whats the secret.

With the H column out and the cross brace wires removed sometimes you have to apply a bit of force downward, is the neck hanging up on the boot cowl?
