  • Going to Alaska questions for the AK gang.

    Hi.
We (me and wife) are going to be in Anchorage on May 13th. As usual I'm going to take the mandatory walk around lake Hood. Does any of you have your T-Craft on Lake Hood or at the strip? It wound be fun to see different T-Crafts. Then again without a transponder would you be able to fly a T-craft into ANC airspace? So maybee there aren't that many around, maybe some F-19 or newer or converted.
Looking forward to the trip, we are heading up to Nabesna the next day.

    Thanks
    Peter

    Hi Pete,

Several of us have T-Crafts tied down at Lake Hood. Mine is across from the ANC Int'l tower on wheels on the west side of the lake (3571T) KRW has one on the east side of the lake (also a yellow F-19) and there is a dandy Super-T (registered experimental) on the north side of the lake. There are many others as well (I've never counted them, but there are at least 15-20.) I should be in town on the 13th. Give me a call and if the weather's nice we can go up for a ride.

    Jim

      Hey there Pete et al.
I am in and out of anchorage (no transponder required) often this time of year...waiting for float season currently..

I would love to fly with you and akbrew for a joyride...would be fun.

        Thanks Dan & Jim.

It looks like we are staying an extra day in ANC, so we are not leaving for Nabesna until May 15th. Let me know how to get hold of you guys. Even if we can't fly it would be fun to meet you and talk Alaska flying in T-Crafts. I just started flying a T-Craft so I have a lot to learn.

        Thanks
        Peter

          Hey Pete,

Give me an email address and I'll send you my cell number. It would be great to get together with you and your wife and maybe even take a ride. (Maybe one of you can ride with Dan if he's in town.) We're looking forward to welcoming you to 'The Great Land' (aka 'T-Craft Heaven).

            FYI All...

Pete is having a fine time at Sportsman's Paradise near Nebesna and I had the pleasure of paying he and his wife Cheryl a visit. Here is a picture of Pete and I and 3571T on the strip at Sportman's Paradise Lodge.
