    Can someone explain note 2; does't it mean if strut is tested and passed and treated with linseed oil that there are no repetitive inspections required?

    no

    new struts are not a terminating action

    sealed struts are a terminating action

    new struts are a repair action see (e)(2)(ii)

    note 2 attempts to make it clear that a rusty strut can be replaced with a used strut that has been properlt inpected & serviced.

    if (e)(2)(ii) had not used the word "new" then not 2 would not have been required.

    for example if (e)(2)(ii) had said something like this ;

    (ii) An airworthy new or used vented front lift strut, P/N A-A815, an airworthy new or used vented aft lift strut, P/N A-A854... then note 2 wouldn't be needed.

    hope that helps,

    Dave
