Lifting a wing into a wing cradle?

I'm building a cradle to hold my wings in storage and be able to move them around. Up til now they have been on edge, LE down, leaning against a wall.

See attached for what I"m plannning, only put each one on an appliance mover ( those 4 caster, padded wooden rectangles, stands about 6" high, used for moving heavy items);

Question is - with only one person and no overhead lift capability how can I get the wings onto the cradle without putting too much pressure on either the root or tip? MikeH

A stack of two or three pillows on one end while you put the other end into the cradle.

Look for old sofa pilows great for all kind of things.(;f

after you drop/damage one, you will be very unhappy

Think about it. If you lift the wing tip the force goes right through then root rib. If you lift the root first, the load goes along and on too the wing tip, which is steel! Another words I do not see a problem loading your wings in to the saddles alone, unless I am not understanding what you are saying. I have two separate sets of saddles for my bird and have used them both (4 saddles) to move the wings down the open road. My saddles look like yours only separated, one for each wing. I used carpet strips for support, so far has worked great. Larry
