The FAA accepts a SB from a company that isn't even certified to make it's own parts and then makes it a AD.
And they are still trying to sell parts that the aren't certified to make according to their web site.
Someone is really dropping the ball. Oh, it actually works out to be more like $10 MIL if you use the factory price.
    DC
THAT WAS MY POINT EXACTLY WITH THE FAA, AND WHAT WAS COMMUNICATED TO SENATOR INHOLF, APPARENTLY IT DIDN'T GET THIER ATTENTION. SHOULD HAVE BUT DIDN'T. NOW, WITH MORE FOLKS JOINING
THE FIGHT FOR SURVIVAL OF THE T-CRAFT, THEY MIGHT LISTEN.
ALL THIS IS GOOD STUFF, BUT EVENTUALLY WE HAVE TO ACT

Re: Harry's STILL at the factory

Just catching up, Meg Godlewski at General Aviation News has written the latest article. Got it two days ago. Somebody can post it here or I will tomorrow.
Yes Harry Ingram is at the Factory , he owns the TC's. The repossesion is moving forward by the Patrick group Taylorcraft Aircraft 2000 LLC is meeting with the FAA to re acquire the 696 & 1A9 TC's. from Taylorcraft Aviation LLC.

Please If anyone thinks they have been wronged by any company ; they you have to take LEGAL action in the courts to recover your dmamges and sometimes ,you can get treble damages ( that is 3 times the amount of loss.)
Do we have any Lawyer or Law firm that will take on this action? IF so post and have members respond to you. The Foundation can act as a clearing house .

The letter is a very nice thing to do for the safety and support of your fellow flyers. This website was the only thing that saved me from losing what little flying money I have. And for that thank you.

I would be honored to sign your petition!

And if Harry runs south… I am very familiar with Central America and Mexico. I would be happy to do an intl. round-up!

Thanks for all you guys help keeping us safe and flying!
THATS RICH, THANKS FOR YOU THOUGHTS, BUT IF HARRY RUNS SOUTH, HE'LL GET HIS REWARD, WE WON'T HAVE TO GO

Forrest, what is or would be the Foundation's official position on sponsoring or authorizing a petition/warning letter being sent out to Taylorcraft owners nationwide?

JSTALL, in order to have some effect on a Senator's office you have to have more than one person speaking in unison. And you have to be speaking a language they are interested in, which may not be "common sense" or "plain English".

If you can get enough people on this list to sign a letter or petition, then THAT is what should go to the Senator, along with whatever evidence you have.

When that time comes, whether it is a week or three months from now, then three or four of us "writers" will more than likely offer to assist with your wording and making the document sound convincing. Either myself or one of three or four others here can assist with writing it so the FAA will not be so quick to send something that makes you look bad.

Re: Harry's STILL at the factory

I came close to losing some money. Fortunately VISA returned the money I paid for parts ordered and not shipped.

I'll sign any factual letter for purposes of warning other unsuspecting individuals from doing business with these firms.

Ok, Bill, that makes sense, let me know when the time is right on that. I've got a pipeline to his Tulsa Office that will get information to him, and not to some aid. Let me know, I think that would get his attention this time

                          Bill,

Are you looking for signatures (mailed or faxed) or an electronic signature? Who will be the clearing house for either option? I think a bundle of hand signed letters will be much more effective. I would like to offer to both collect signatures and pay any postage or shipping charges involved to the final destination.

Re: Harry's STILL at the factory

Guys, as I had mentioned, I am volunteering to assist with the wording and editing of any such document. However as someone who was not financially damaged I am not the right person to be the leader of this charge.

I am not the George Patton who is going to march this thing across Europe and put Adolf and Eva in the bunker, I'm just the guy who knows how to shoot one of the artillery pieces fairly well.

Recently I also have had a setback unrelated to aviation or this internet forum and will need to spend time dealing with things on the home/business front.

Certainly one of you who has lost money personally, or someone who is retired, can serve as the hub of this wheel. I will cheerfully be one of the "wise guys" but the role of Don Corleone is not what I am willing to play in this particular case.
