  • Installed new struts /have old struts available

Mechanic installed my new struts, Friday, and now back flying. Everything is good. So now I have my old struts available if anyone is interested in them, like a stated in other posts struts have not been tested but my mechanic. And I both agree, they look fine. I can send pictures, if anyone is interested. I have owned the aircraft since 1992 and is it has been hangered since new in Idaho and in Oregon never on floats or exposed to wet climate just very dry eastern Oregon
struts came off of 77 F19
Will consider any and all offers

    Thank you Shawn Coleman

Tribe, While at the Alaska State Aviation Trade Show and Conference I asked the folks at Northern Airframes LLC. about the current status of the paperwork that must accompany their new lift struts for our Taylorcrafts. They had some of the struts on display and said that they are approved and ready to ship. The company had to have a complete re-approval done when two companies merged into one. Same strut...new paperwork as required. The paperwork went through reasonably fast...after some folks wrote some letters. If you are interested, give them a call, as they fabricate the struts in batches and need to have an idea of demand. Dick

Take a piece of copper wire like they wire houses with. Form it around
the strut take a marker and mark the center of hole then measure.
