    Re: Is a DC-65 an L2?

I am the new owner of N54669. Originally a TG-6. 42-58757. It has the fastback and the enclosed cowling. I would consider it an L-2. Would that be correct?

Your data plate (taylorcraft) should call it an ST-100. It was converted to a DC-65 if it has a Cont 65. I think that most of them have the pressure cowling. You might as well call it an L-2 or O-57 as they had the strightback and non swivel rear seat. I don't have your N number in my list. Could it be N54469 ? If it was me I would do it as a O-57 done in OD with no gray on the bottom and use the star with the red bull in the center set in a blue circle. Dick

        Thanks Dick,

Oops, yes N54469. Not original colors but in good shape. Data plate does say DCO-65 with A65 engine. I do have the paperwork showing purchase in December '45 as ST-100 and then conversion the following year.
