I just got my tickets to Sun-n-Fun. Any T-Craft happenings/gatherings planned for the event? Anyone else planning to be there?

      Hi Carlton,

Thanks for the reply. My dad and I will be staying in the campgound as well. We'll be in a pop-up camper but I don't know which spot yet. Let me know how I can find you...maybe I'll see you in the breakfast tent. Avgas here in Alaska is now $4.95. Dad says that is cheaper than what he is paying in FLA. My 1.5 hour joyride today cost $44. It was worth evey penny. I took an 11 year-old girl and then her 15 year-old brother up for their first rides in a small plane today. It's an experience they will never forget for the rest of their lives.

Thanks again for the reply...see you in Florida!

      Jim

I'll be camped under the wing in GA camping just to the south of rwy 9...surrounded by canards. We normally are 4 rows back from regular camping and near the end of the "brown route". Feel free to stop by and have a beer or two!

                Re: Sun-n-Fun

Anybody have firm dates for their arrival at S&F yet? I'm planning on going, but haven't made up my mind on when, or whether by T-Craft or in the car.

What I'm getting at is, if you are passing through the area and I'm still here (haven't gone to S&F yet) stop by, have some dinner, and park your T in the hangar next to Tami and Traci for the night. Then get a good start in the morning for Lakeland. It's only around 2 hrs. by T-Craft from here or 3 in the car.

We're at FL10, Little River Airpark, just west of Lake City in north central FL.

As to meeting at S&F, of course there is always the Taylorcraft forum, but we used to meet at 1PM on the side porch of the Antique/Classic barn each afternoon too (sometimes with Forrest). This year they are enclosing the porch so that may not be an option. I propose we fix a date for an evening T-Craft BBQ at S&F. It's been done in the past and everyone had a good time. Perhaps the night after the forum (anybody know the date?). We could get a count at the forum of people who might want to come.

                Anybody interested in a BBQ?

                    Hi Walt,

I'll stop by. The only thing I've told myself I can't live without from Sun-n-Fun is a 150 exhaust if I find it (and maybe some Oregon Aero seats, oh, and maybe a new GPS...but that's it!).
