Can anyone tell me the tension for the control wheel to aileron cable for my F-21?

    Thanks

    Hi Tom,

I wonder if you can get a service manual for that plane from Essco?

Might be in the manual, if not ac43.13-1B might have a guideline.

Unless there is a valid reason to the contrary, I would suggest no more than 8 to 10 pounds. This reduces the wear on all the components significantly, and makes the airplane fly lighter. 30 and 40 pound tensions like in other types of aircraft serve no purpose in a T-craft.

Adjusted by feel and function on my BC12D's.

Feel and function seems to describe it good! There is no service manual after the BC12D, use the Univair one. It is the same for all models after.
Adjust by feel , let the ailerons droop about a 1/4 inch on each side. Then clamp or have someone hold one in line with the trailing edge, then push up the other with one finger they should line up ( this is what happens in flight!)
center wheels etc... cabin cable loop takes a real knack, firm but not tight.
