Pretty dangerous showing identifying background shots with a perch like that!
I remember hauling a half a dozen of those size-12 slabs off receeding shelf ice in the Badwater about 15 years ago. We had to move a couple times in a couple hours.
We used to hit Chicagoan under the eagles nest on thin ice too. I miss the heck out of that!

Wow, beautiful snow pictures, going to add the airplanes one to my collection. It is supposed to be 75 degrees here today and all the trees are blossoming. We actually had one week of winter with rain and nastly stormy weather this winter. Lack of a real winter this year is even more weird than usual. Nice, but boring.
On perch: we use to fish the heck out of a small pond when I was a LITTLE kid. Catfish and perch, we would cook them over a "campfire" in an abandoned orchard across the street from our homes. Southern Illinois in the early 50's. Great way to spend a childhood.

We used to camp by the pond, river, and lake growing up. If we didn't catch anything we either went home or went hungry because we would always eat what we caught. I still do that with my wife and kids a couple times a year....but most of my fishing is now done from a bass boat. I love to bass fish.
