      Re: In need of left gear leg

      Lance,
      I have a set that was kindly sent to me by Mr. Ed O'Brien and we never have settled a bill yet. We were talking about a little money if both legs were servicable,then we talked about a trade....but never did settle anything. Ed sent them to me mostly because he no longer needed them but I still want to give him something for his trouble and kindness. Anyway, one is in really good condition and the other needs some work. I will have to look again to see which is which. Find out which one you need and let me know.I can have it in the mail first of the week and you can send Ed some curtousy money plus whatever it cost me to ship it to you....how does that sound to you Ed?

        Re: In need of left gear leg

        Lance, I found out from Mark, that the gear leg was rusted, So bring it back I'll bet I can weld a new tube or tubes on it and fit it, I may have another one around here, but anyway I'll make good on it.

          Re: In need of left gear leg

          Larry
          after i had it sanblasted there was corrosion on both main tubes i had it out at airframes. they drilled a small hole to check for wall thickness and it was
          not good on both main tubes I think that it would be easyer to start with gear leg that has no corrosion only because I haft to have the inch and a half axle welded on and i am changing the rear tube as well. The gearleg is at marks now.
          We might be able to weld in two new tubes can we find the materials they have the supercub gearleg tubes at airframes. I tried to have them do it but they said it would be alot better with a good gear leg to begin with........

          I need the left gear leg for those who might have one in good shape.....

          Larry whats your phone number I have a kenai cell no its 252-9386

            If you can check and see if the left gear leg is good it would be a great option.

                Kevin;
                Regarding gear legs...Make whatever deal is fair. Use what you can and pass along what you don't need for the next guy. I've been gone for Thanksgiving but I'm back in town now. What's the latest on Crispy?

                  Ed,
                  Crispy is in storage at the moment while I gather parts. When I have everything I need for her then I plan to put everything else on hold and try to dedicate myself solely to getting Crispy but up again. I plan to start on her again sometime this winter....we'll see how it goes.
