N44305 and I are aviating again as of this afternoon, following the nearly 3 month (hey, I've still got a real job, too) hiatus for compliance with the wing strut AD and fitting service letter. I took the opportunity to also strip and repaint the struts, thereby getting an extra good look at them in all their nakedness. The aggravation and downtime during mostly pristine flying weather was outweighed by the knowledge acquired and confidence renewed in the aircraft, following the cloud of doubt cast by the gummit et al. Today's aerotherapy was surely a welcome change from being grounded, and it's swell to have 4 years before revisiting the AD.
