  • T-Rex Replacement

N43336 has just completed its journey to its new home in Minnesota. Last August T-Rex (N43624) was hit by a hail storm and is now owned by a mechanic at Surfside Seaplane base (8Y6) here in Lino Lakes Minnesota. The base now has three T-craft on floats based at it, along with about another 30 seaplanes. N43336 was purchased in Ketchikan Alaska put on a ship with the wings in a shipping container and then driven back home from Seattle. Transportation time was 8 days!!! No you cannot drive to Ketchikan, and yes Mountains and snow storms are now a problem to even considering flying it home. Its my second T-craft in just under twelve months!! Now to get the wings back on and get ready for ski plane flying!!
