Celebrating with the Barbers

Last Monday I had the great pleasure of celebrating the 43rd wedding anniversary of Forrest and Patty Barber. My wife Susie and I got the grand tour of Alliance to-boot. Part museum, part FBO, part dog-petting-zoo, part bone-yard, part rural farm, part shady rest home, part picture gallery, part family compound, part tour center, part archelogical site, and occasionally a lovely grass airstrip ... we loved the eccletic mix on the Barber Field of Dreams. Knowing Forrest and now Patty too is a great personal pleasure.
From many happy memories spring our fondest regards and continued wishes of health and well-being to the Barber family and to this place Barber Field.

Whew, I hope a little water from tears on the keyboard will not effect the operation of the computer. NOW the whole world knows why I did nothing for the Foundation, the FAA or Taylorcraft . on Monday & part of Tues. . We , Patty, Kelli-Belle and the rest of the family say Hey! right back to you and Susie.
It was a great visit, you remind me of Merton Meade Jr. , another great friend. Till me meet again, from one "true believer" to another see you around. Budget more time, next time.
The promo's on the documentary on Lake Erie on Channel 3 , WKYC have been airing already.
Any comments on my flying or landing abilities?

Forrest; would I comment on your flying? Never! You were high enough to clear the trees and slow enough to land on half the runway. That's about as good as it gets. Don't let my toes curling at the end of the flight fool you... they curl on every landing. They have minds of their own.

I had a great time and a fun buzz around your neck of the woods. Susie sends her love and gratitude for a resplendant day cover in memory.
