Re: A Picture for a change of pace
Very nice picture. Hello new friends. I recently purchased an F-19. It's a terrific plane and a happy Taylorcraft reunion for me after owning a BC-12D some 20 years ago (I learned to fly in it.) It was a perfect Fall afternoon in Alaska today. I invited a friend from work to go up for a little sightseeing flight. It was his first ride in a small airplane. He kept saying "This is awesome!" That's what it's all about too! I'm looking forward to getting to know each of you. I've been watching your discussions closely, hoping to find a way to NOT replace the perfectly fine struts on my T-Craft.

Re: A Picture for a change of pace
Thanks, for the picture, it's better than the struts issues.
Will be fly my plane later today, first time in 7 months.
Will have a frend with 10,000 hrs and 3,000 hrs tail wheel time riding with me.
I have been laid up with a nerve problem.
Am walking without canes and can get into the bird now.
Can't beat this kind of weather here in the upper midwest.
Buy for now will report on the flight.Robbie

Re: A Picture for a change of pace
You Alaska boys are as cruel and unusual as a Micheal Vick dog execution. Sending those beautiful, glorious, fabulous pictures of you and your planes in that scenic spendor while some of us slavish writer types are super glued to our computer screens for another day of drudgery et' nauseum in expression. At least, we at our keyboards can complain and in our complaints provide you a cruel and unusual thanks. With regards; ED OBRIEN

Re: A Picture for a change of pace
Hey KRW,
Do you tie-down at Lake Hood? If you do I would like to talk with you. If your plane is the one I think it is I have admired it many times. Thanks for the pics. I came to Alaska "just for the summer". That was 27 years ago. Today someone asked me "why" I stayed? I couldn't really come up with the words. I wish I would have had your pictures in hand...then I wouldn't have needed words.
