    Meg,
The last note on the factory web-site(Jan 2)and most recent reason for the delay in shipping struts states that they are waiting on the approval for the latest drawing revisions from the FAA for the sealed struts listed on the AD as terminating action and would be notifing customers and shipping them next week? There is a post also that the new struts have not been approved yet. I looked this morning after reading your post and they show to have 2 each of the new sealed part numbers in stock now so if this is correct they have them approved and are selling them- may be someone that has posted that they will visit the factory could check to see if they do have some of the sealed struts in stock now.-if they do- I hope they are delivering them to the people that have already paid for them first. Please let us know if you find that any have been shipped-there are some that are very worried that they will never recieve struts that they paid for several months ago.
Just thought I should add that although I am sure everyone is aware of the problems in recieving parts from the factory and am pretty sure no one would that has been following this forum. Please no one send any money or credit card to buy those struts-I wouldn't want to see anyone else get taken on the factory struts because of my posting that they show to have them now.

You would think that they might mention that they have filled outstanding orders and have 2 extra sets in stock. But then why would I expect such logical professional behavior? Suspect they may have built a few that are not approved but are on the shelf, so he calls them "in stock." Same ole' used-car salesman crap.
Why doesn't he do something cool like ship a pair or 2 to T owners and let them check fit and function on "typical aircraft" for him? Good personal relations/promotional value I would say and might improve his case with the FAA. Nah, not likely.

I actually DO believe that he will ship a pair of struts or two. That is the only way to continue this ruse of being, "the factory" and getting an influx of other people's cash. When the incoming cash dries up, he finally does something.

        You'll see.

I suspect the same. One or two sets might get shipped to continue the game. I would sure give a bit to have been a fly on the wall when Harry and Jose Perez (FAA) sat down to discuss the manufacture of the sturts and also the discussion between Harry, Jose, and perhaps even Andy over the AD. When you consider all the lack of ethics and professionalism on Harry's part with the strut manufacture you also can't leave alone the FAA's involvement or at least their "near sightedness" with the wording of the AD. A total "cluster $#@%" in anyones mind.

So Far The Answer To The Tread Question Is Obviously, No! So The "factory" Is Not Producing Struts, Is The Factory Legal To Build Any Parts? Is Anybody Receiveing Any Taylorcraft Factory Produced Parts? Or Is The "factory" Picking Parts Of The Shelf That Were Produced Years Ago. If the factory is not legal to produce parts, how can they issue a service bulletin, and be instrumental in the issue of an AD? These Faa People That Bought Into This Fiasco Must Be Really Scraching To Find Reason To Justify Their Existence. Lets See, We Ground A Significant Number Of The Taylorcraft Flock, Even Though There Was No Recorded Failure Of A Taylorcraft Strut. Now What Other Aircraft Makes Have Struts And Strut Fittings? We'll Rid The Skys Of These Ageing Aircraft, To Show The Public We Are In Action, They Won't Have To Don Their Helemets, O I Forgot The Doomed Spy Satelite Is Coming Back To Earth! Don't Put Away Those Helmets Yet.

Folks, here is the the verdict, straight from the horses mouth SAT MIDO

about the Factory and its ability to make parts?

                Mr Stallings,

The answer to your question is yes, installation of Taylorcraft LLC FAA-PMA
marked MA-A854 & MA-A815 struts will be terminating action for
                AD2007-16-14.

To answer your question from E-mail dated 1/26/08 - Yes, Taylorcraft LLC
FAA-PMA is active and they have authority to build any part covered by the
                type certificates they own.

I've got it ! It might be Harry can't hear the phone while he is in the shop welding and banging around..! , and then because he's worked so hard all day building my parts and your parts he is just too tired..to take messages and answer the calls.

Lets see 750,000.00 less $3649.00 = $746351.00 this is the biggest
joke I"ve ever seen. what a scam.

This factory and its assets are worth maybe 20 grand or so, and thats maybe
with the reputation, that Taylorcraft has?? well? sure wouldn't want to call it the Taylorcraft Factory any longer.

                      Friend of the owner? hummmm

                        Curious:

Has anyone heard of anyone? that might have finally received a set of struts, particularly from Taylorcraft 2000 LLC? They are advertising that they are shipping them now, and have em for sale?

I thought the "recovery team" was attempting to contact everyone that sent in money? Did they never contact you? If they did, what did they say?

They never contacted me per say, I contacted them, and did visit several times with Scot. Last word is they won't honor the deal that was made with Taylorcraft thru Harry, Next they are still operating in the same place, same web page, same logo, and Harry is still there, its an amazing situation.

According to their log they have shipped several sets of struts and have them available in stock, the cost to get me a set, would not be that expensive for them, maybe in varible costs no more than 500 buck or so, eitther way, won't respond, Hell of a deal huh?

Let's see if I have this correct: They are selling struts. People paid for struts from the company. The person who sold the struts and didn't deliver is still "working" for the company and therefore a valid legal representitive. BUT the same company will not honor his commitments.
