Ultrasound in Wisconsin

My A&P located at Reedsburg Wisconsin,C35, is making arrangements for an ultrasound strut inspection at his shop. He did not give me a price, but the more planes, the cheaper it will be. Wow. That is more or less in my neighborhood. Is this something that has to be done with the struts removed from the airplane? Can't remember exactly.

That's wrong.

Read the AD and the service bulletin procedures that it calls out. You have to remove the struts to comply with the AD.

I don't care what you don't get me wrong, but the info that you are repeating is not right.

You are correct. We thought strut removal applied only to eddy current. The struts WILL have to be removed for the ultra sound. bobp

there is a place in superior Wi that does the test it is called Twin Ports Testing INC David Rands 715 392-7114 call to make appointment and he will do them while you are there in 2002 he charged 60.00 thats with the paint removed
