Bracket in top of cockpit

Quick question, There is a bracket in the center of the X frames in the top of the cockpit. What is this/ I think it is a mount for a cabin light. If it is, I have installed a skylight, and no electrical system. Can I just remove this? I think I have seen some removed before, but just want to be sure,

I think they were designed for an instrument light but I have seen most people use them to mount an antenna.Yes,you can remove it.
