C85 starter

Does anyone know if the c85-12 will fit on a standard short mount with the "lightweight starter". I am trying to keep my short mount but would not mind having a battery only starter. If I put a -12 case on it will the starter fit?

Hi I'm sure it will. I have a SkyTec starter on my Champ when I get a chance I'll measure it, I know its shorter than the regular starter and 5+ lbs lighter, and really cranks the 0-200. I measured and the SkyTec is 6" from accessory case to back of the starter. Heres a link http://www.skytecair.com/

That would make a great conversion if posssible.. the difference is four inches with a standard starter
