This is WHY I will use the Luscombe, rather than the C-150 system. Also, it exits the cowl further back that the Aeronca system does, and due to it's longer lengeth, it should be "tuned" for a lower RPM. Brie

I'm pretty sure I've got the Luscombe system too... it's either that or an early Champ...but it works just fine, was put on along with the 85, waaaay back when (like in the 50's??)....

http://gallery.taylorcraft.org/main.php?g2_itemId=8163Here is what the Luscombe exhaust looks like... The co-pilots exhaust comes out the original hole and it really works nice. Remember this is on Crispy with a non-electric 0200 on the short mount. The exhaust was copied from a Luscombe 8E/F . Here is another one taken before the cowling was painted

Kevin, Will the Luscombe exhaust work with the A65, and how does it compare in price? What are the advantages?

Ed, I believe they make a 2 piece exhaust for the A-65 as well. It is a little cheaper then the stock t-craft but not much by the time you buy the heat muffs too. I used it because it looks good, fits good, and nothing else would fit except the champ/chief exhaust and I just don't like the looks of it the way it comes out of the cowling so far forward and also the champ/chief exhaust puts out almost NO heat where the luscombe does great.

Winston, yes. The door handles came off a VW Karmengia.
