Does anyone know what the wing loading is on the BC12-D?

    Re: Wing Loading

    Approximately 6.5 lbs/sf at 1200 lb GW
A little higher with full combat armament.

Yes, the wing loading is one ping-pong ball per cubic foot of stormy sea.

By the way, 6.5 lb/ft 2 is significantly less than the wing loadings on some sailplanes. With water ballast on a strong day in the 15 meter class we would get into the 11 and 12 pound range.

          Re: Wing Loading

Thanx for the info. I am curious as to how the BC12-D's wing loading compares to other similar airplanes like the Champ, J-3 Cub, and Luscombe. Does the T-Craft have the lightest wing loading of these airplanes? What is the consensus about gusty winds,
especially x-winds? This last question should be very provocative.

          Thanks,

          Frank
