  • Resorcinol glue and reducing amount of catalyst

My glueing job was just a little faster than I wanted.
Can I reduce the amount of catalyst without hurting the joint? - Mike

Noooooooo ! Don't mess with the mixture of hardener to resin. Use a slower glue if you need to, like FPL-16A or West Systems slow epoxy IMHO.

I hope I did right; I got up at sunrise and did the glueing before it got to 70*. Left it clamped for >12 hours. - MIke

Most 2parts are to be mixed as the directions read. Now how moist the air is

does have some effect. I do know to much catalyst will set in a flaming

torch, find out the hard way.
