    Sun ‘N’ Fun
This year I plan to fly the old bird (‘Anna’) down from Savannah, Ga. Is anyone flying down from the northeast? Want to stay a night in savannah? Or link up and fly together?

Also I know that the Taylorcrafts will be in the Vintage aircraft parking (VAC), but will we have a designated spot?

I'm flying down from NC. I'll be leaving either Tuesday or Wednesday depending on weather. Shoot me a PM if you want to link up. I have a friend I am meeting in North Florida. We plan to camp a few days but I also have a room just in case.

Flying is easy- to go up you pull back, to go down you pull back a little farther.

Hey guys, if you need to stop and rest come visit us at Hilliard Airpark 01J. Most of they guys are there on Thursdays and Saturdays. I will not be able to go this year due to work (uck! 4 letter dirty word) and doing extensive annual on my Taylorcraft.

Well there is smoke in the air in south east Ga and north east Fl. Jax is IFR due to the wildfires around Waycross Ga. the wind is from the NW so it's IFR around here.

We had a great time at Sun N Fun...unfortunatly, I missed the forum and parusing the Vintage birds. I parked in GAC with my friends in an Archer, a Berkut, 2 Long E-Z's (I have major winglet envy) and an RV 6. Attached are a couple of camping pics.

Yea, I'm in the group photo but it isn't a good pic. I'll attach a me and my t-craft pic. Where in Western KY? Some of my friends are trying to find a place in the middle of all of us to fly into and continue our b.s. stories under a wing. We were thinking somewhere in KY...hmmmm

Careful... There's a smart-aleck line that some of us glider pilots used to use when a canard pusher flew in from Mojave into our gliderport next door at California City and the pilot walked around like he just landed an F-104...

"When you design an airplane to be idiot-proof, you pretty well define its market."

That never failed to start a spirited argument back in the day...

There was one notable exception where I could not say that line with my usual gusto, that being Mr. Fitz Fulton who was a glider pilot, a famous NASA test pilot, a canard pilot,... the test pilot on the XB-70...and an F-104 pilot

Believe it or not, there was a point where I would shut up!

                            Suzy,
We are actually in east kentucky, little town called West Liberty(even though it is east of Liberty,ky...go figure). Identifier is 9I3 . I live on the airport, have a very nice spot just for B.S.'en,I've got Crispy which should be flying in a week or two,3 other t-craft projects,a C-170 project, stinson 108-1, a Starduster II to play with, plus a flying C-170, and a PA-24-250 Comanche. If that's not enough we'll go drag the Beech 18 off lease for an hour or so or we have a couple of "Butt Fans" that run out of gas at about 8000-9000' with my big ass in it....my 180lbs friend has went to 14,800' ! If that's still not enough for ya we could all load up and run down to a friends place about 45minutes south and play with the gliders. Or we can all just simply make good use of the BBQ grill while we empty the cooler and hope we can still stand up long enough to piss...or in some cases, still be able to get up after we piss....sorry,lol.
Either way just come on down,we'll eat BBQ til we can't,drink too much and give prizes to the one that tells the biggest lie

Bill...I hear ya...I know...but they are sooooo fast and cool! 3 of the attached pics are just for you! I hope to not offend anyone...but we refer to these canards as "Dick in the dirt" airplanes because of how they are at rest. They just give it back to me with my airplane has worms cause it drags it's tail...anyways......

Kevin...I will let my friends know of East Liberty! It sounds like a fun time... I have never been that drunk that I couldn't get up to pee...wait...there was this one time...Ok...for the story. I woke up and my pants were all wet...I asked my buddy if I went swimming...he said no and then started laughing. I looked down and said, "I don't know what you are laughing about, I'm wearing your shorts!"
