I bought my BC12-D last June and have always thought that the ailerons seem
too stiff and hard to move even while on the ground. When I had my annual
inspection done this month, I asked the mechanic to diagnose the problem.
He disconnected the ailerons and checked all the pulleys and the cable tension
but the controls still were stiff on the ailerons. He finally tried loosening up the
bolts that hold the universal joints together (behind the panel) and found that
they were binding the control movement! Now the airplane is a joy to fly!
So if any of you have the same problem, this could be the solution. Has
anyone else the the same problem?
