  • 1946 Taylorcraft BC-12 Wing Ribs For Sale

    Hi everyone,

I have the following wing ribs available. I have numbered them starting with the butt rib as number 1 and counting outwards (the tip rib, if I had one available, would be number 15).

    Left wing: Ribs 2,3,6,7

    Right wing: Ribs 2,3,4,5
Please note that, as we removed the ribs by cutting around them, that we will be shipping all our ribs with the remaining fabric, leading edge and spar attached. All ribs are "full" ribs meaning they have the nose section attached. Price is $55. each, buyer to pay shipping. Please contact me at [email protected] if you are interested.

    Cheers,

    Murray

Egadd this must have been the one mentioned that was balled up or something If its being hacked apart that way I mean... Good to see parts being salvaged in one PLUS piece. Am sure there are those that will appreciate it !!

You're right, mine was the plane that got "balled up" in the nasty windstorm in Victoria, B.C., Dec. 13th. And EGADS is right!! Even though we saved everything that could be saved it was a disconcerting feeling when my partner pulled out his saw...

I'm going to try again to post a photo. The end result is far better than it sounds. The ribs look great and quite a few of them have found happy homes.

Also, please note that I have added some more ribs to the list.

      Sincerely,

      Murray

        Hi everyone,

Just an update. Right wing ribs 6,7,8 and 9 are no longer available. Also, it appears left wing 2 & 3 and right wing 2 & 3 are spoken for as well although that is not confirmed.

Thanks to all for your inquiries to this point.

        Murray
