  • Oldie Taylorcrafts for sale??

Hey All....I'm new to the T-cart forums. I Love the antique piper products but the T-Craft always have had something special about them. Besides, cub is in their DNA.

So yesterday I was hours away from giving a gentleman the deposit on a gorgeous 1939 BL-65 when he called to tell me it had been sold. Quite a devastating day. So....

Does anyone here know of any 1939ish BC or BL taylorcraft for sale? Pricewise, 20K-ish is my limit right now. The 'cub style' cowling with the cylinders exposed is what I'm looking for. On wheels, but float fittings are a plus!

    Thanks!

    Philip

There was a red '39 on the internet as late as last week with floats for 15 or 16 ish, don't remeber off hand. Found it by googling taylorcraft for sale. Don't know anything about it, but hope this helps!

                    Re: Oldie Taylorcrafts for sale??

Hey Tim, I'm sorry I didn't specify. Right now I'm looking for something that we could pretty much hop in and go. If it was less an engine, and hanging one is more or less all it would really take to get it flying, I'd take a good look. It would give me a chance to put a 75 or 85 hp engine in it. (I'll still grab a 65 though!)

My buddy that would have to do any other repair/rebuilding is up to his eyes in projects, let alone his chief he's trying to finish, so I probably wouldn't get off the ground with a project for quite some time.

                    -Philip
