Really WONDERFUL!! I'm so jelous -- it taks me 15 minutes of fighting through the six lanes of US50 and crossing the Chesapeake Bay to play with my bird.

Dan- I know the feeling about having to drive to fly. I have to drive about 15 minutes to my hanger at a local grass strip. Although I can keep my plane here at home now my strip is really only useable under really good weather conditions. It faces N/S and most always has a quartering tailwind. Getting out is not the problem- it is really tough getting in because the trees on the approach end- add a but of turbulence and a quartering tailwind and it becomes a botany study very quickly. In other words- it will be an airstrip about 50% of the time I want to fly-

There aren't many pilots that know the smile that surges from the gut up, that comes from sitting in the rocking chair on the front porch with your feet up on the potato chip can and a cup of tea in your hand while looking at your plane parked on the lawn.
