    Chris,

    I noticed you don't have the stiffener on your gear leg(goes from the bungee strut to the gear leg). My plane came with them welded in. From what I am told you almost have to have them for ski flying, just for the reason you pictured.

      You're right, I was warned about it before, but I thought I could go a season without them. Live and learn I guess.

          One of the biggest mistakes people make when they transision to skis is when moving the plane around by hand on the ground you can put a lot of stress on the landing gear by torquing it.....when you lift the tail and move it around it is not like on wheels, you have to be already moving forward or backward before starting to swing the tail around. You will snap something if you are not careful.
