Re: 1946 BC-12D Available Parts List

    Hi everyone,

There has been alot of interest in my front right strut and Y harness so I think I can safely say that they are sold.

Please note that I listed for sale a right gear leg and front right strut when in fact they are both from the LEFT side! My sincerest apologies to everyone this has inconvenienced. Please see my first post for updated listings.

I'm happy and relieved to say that the fellow who had agreed to buy the "right" front strut is in need of a left as well. No harm, no foul I guess. So the left front strut is sold.

We have started to disassemble the wings and I am starting a new thread to deal with that. Needing any wing parts? Please check out my new thread "BC-12D Wing Parts For Sale".

I'm wondering if anyone could help me understand something? When I originally thought I had a right gear leg to sell I had probably 7 or 8 inquiries and ultimately a buyer. Turned out to be a left gear leg - ooops!.. But, so far not one inquiry re: the left gear leg. My questions:

Why do right gear legs need replacing more frequently? Are they damaged more frequently for some reason or is there a tendency for them to rust sooner for some reason?

                Thanks, Murray
