  • Taylorcraft Club and Foundation Merger?

I wanted to post this in the "daily discussion" because it is of general interest and concerns more than one discussion category.

Has anyone else been thinking about the pros and cons of joining the Foundation and Club into one entity?

Would a merger do any harm to Bruce Bixler's efforts, or insult Bruce's position in any way? Would a merger do anything negative to Forrest's efforts?

My point is that there may be some significant advantage to streamlining, so long as nobody's toes get stepped on.

Feel free to educate me on what I may not be seeing here... Bruce... Forrest... Bob O... anyone?

Re: Taylorcraft Club and Foundation Merger?

I think we should settle this Iraq matter before we take up the gaping animosity of the Club and the Foundation. What?

Actually, I'm rather sure there aren't any gaping animosities. I'd gladly join any club or foundation that Bruce or Forrest formed. Provided that they'd have me.
Hell, if they called the Taylorcraft Club for Stupid People
or the Foundation of Fussbudgets, I'd fit right in. I'll bet most of us feel the same. Small bet on this one, but a bet none the less. 2-cents and my regards; ED OBRIEN

From my distant view point, there is a strong and warm freindship between Bruce and Forrest, and between their familes.

The Bixler family is proud of the TOC and the TOC newsletter and I understand they the whole family works together in producing it and mailing it out. The Foundation is interesting in preserving history and a few other things Taylorcraft related. And somehow basset hounds too.

We work together as a team. For instance the recent sharing of writting the newsletter. I know we could do more, and we discuss this each year at Alliance.

That has ALL been discussed , Bruce and I agree to keep it like it is ! $15.00 to each is a Total of $30.00 each year. WE have a new year coming, in case you missed it; the Foundation will do a newsletter three times next year, a lot of technical stuff too! Maybe some advertisers, lets see how it goes.
It will be electronically transmitted. The hard copy can still go to the Owners Club folks who want it that way!
