Hello everyone. I was recommended to this forum because of a crash site that I recently stumbled upon while hunting on Sherman Mountain in Perry County Pennsylvania which is close to Newburg, Pa. I have taken pictures of the debris that I have found and a friend of mine who owns his own plane and is very well versed in small airplanes has come to the conclusion that the debris belongs to a Taylorcraft. We are not exacly sure which model though, 12, 15 or a 20. We ahve gathered some information from a book titled "The Taylorcraft Story". They have two photos in this book titled "Model 20 crash in Pennsylvania" but it doesn't tell where at in Pa.
Does anyone know of a Taylorcraft 20 plane crash on Sherman Mountain around the 1957 time era? I have plenty of pictures of the debris. My e-mail is [email protected] if anyone has any information, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. ~Chad Craig~
