    Vincent,

I would like one of each, please!!! Don't need the gascolator. I'll check out your site in a moment. Thanks.
    Cheers,
    Marty

Our ( Taylorcraft factory, Feris years) static source was a part of the test system, it clamped to the left struts and projected about 3 ft in front of the wing with a very small entry orfice so the angle would not effect the reading. I still ahve it and use it for tests on other ships we ahve done here. WE never did find a good static on the fuselage. Cooling ( heating) tests were strange to me at the time ( 1970) but I now know a LOT more and would like to redo the whole thing on the Taylorcraft.

Thanks for that info Forrest, I have seen a cheap (relatively) aluminum tube version that has a very small hole in the side of the round-tipped tube. Thought that might work. Might test it also as a source for the airspeed as mine is 8 statute high around cruise, but dead on at stall. Fairly sure it is the static source that is changing as I get the same results with my old indicator and a new one. Really funny, my rate-of-climb indicator will change 100 ft/per if I stick my hand out the slightly open window. Isn't that a hoot.
It would be interesting to run some numbers on cylinder head and oil temperatures and the pressure and flow thru and around the engine. Really see what is going on in there. I have some pretty good toys around to check it out.

Used to buy airplanes with the window closed and sell them with the window open, and my hand casually hanging out in the breeze sucking air out of cabin. sure made them cruise faster.
