    Re: WARNING: Internet Access -Explorer

Has anyone solved the problem with IE 7.0 and the foundation web site or the taylorcraft.com web site? I have seen a lot of avoidance about switching back to 6.0 or using another browser but no soulutions if we need to keep 7.0.

      what problem are you having?

Please decribe and I will test with IE7. I check it about 6 months ago (beta) and no problems then.

        Bob
I also switched back to IE6. With IE7 I could not access the taylorcraft website. It would not go from my favorites, when I typed it into the address bar or if I used a search engine like google. It would not go to the site. Of note, We've had that problem with other sites at my work place, which our IT people explained as a compatability problem with the new version. I've never seen a problem like it before.

          Re: WARNING: Internet Access -Explorer

I found that if you log out of the forum and then log back in once that IE7 works just fine. Had to do that with a few other sites also. Must be an issue with how cookies are handled in IE7 vs. IE6 on some sites.

            Re: WARNING: Internet Access -Explorer

ok, this is from IE7, and other than being a MIcrosoft product, I cant see anything wrong.

            If your book marks are missing any you dont know how to get to the forum;
another trick is to fireup IE7, type control L (thats hold down the ctrl key while pressing the letter L - for you non-teletype era folks ) that will pop up a Location field you can type in the URL you want. Like press ctrl L and type in vb.taylorcraft.org to get to the forum, or taylorcraft.org to get to the main web page. If you made it this far then click your mouse on the "Favorites" menu bar at the top of the IE7 screen and then click "Add to Favorites" to add a URL to your personal list.

You Can have both IE and Firefox on the same pc and use which everone or both at the same time.

              Re: WARNING: Internet Access -Explorer

I was pretty aggravated that I had lost my favorites list when I loaded the upgrade. Had a new-looking page and they wanted me to put in my ID and password to access Favorites. Had never use one.
By accident I clicked on the Google tab on the bar at the top of the page and my regular page came up mostly the same with the Favorites from my old page there. Next time I fired up it can back with the same with the normal display with the favorites and no more problems with signing in. The page is a little changed, but mostly the same and works fine. I just clicked quickly, but I wrote down Google in case I had to get in that way again. Everything's fine now. Try google tab at top. Have no idea what happens, but it worked.

Let me be clear! The problem I and others are having with IE 7.0 is not with vb.taylorcraft.org, it is with taylorcraft.org and taylorcraft.com. No amount of trying google or direct typing gets me to the web page.None of my other favorites were so affected.

Here I am the probably most useless person on a computer that I know. I had to re log on again but really have had no problems. Other than a few pains in the shoulders and lack of money for the Holidays!

                      Tom,

I am in www.taylorcraft.org right now with IE7 Try going to tools/Internet Option and deleting cached cookies and purging history. Quit and restart IE7 and then type ctrl L and enter in the url taylorcraft.org.

I can't speak for taylorcraft.com, thats not in any way related to the Internet presence that the Taylorcraft Foundation operates. For some reason their web site is down.

IF you are still having problems, meet me at the Home Plate for breakfast and I will take a look at your computer.(;f

How exaclty does the Taylorcraft Foundation web site break your bookmarks (aka Favorites) in Ie7?

Do you also blame the web site for Erectial Disfunction, pimples and that annoying fan belt squeek in your car?

Does your Dog fart a lot? Its probably the web site doing it to you again!
