You make them sound REALLY attractive.

    I'll check 'em out, thanks.

      I have the answer!

Kart driving shoes!! Check out driving shoes that Kart and other race car drivers use. Most are suede/kevlar and are fire retardant. Best of all they are very comfortable and no bulky soles.

can be had in high and low cut style for about $60-100

Hi group, SAS shoes are made in San AntonioTx. and were developed by a orthopedic surgeon. Very comfortable but plain looking. I supose you could say it would be something the "older generation" would wear. Im only 55 so I dont fit in that catagory, but they are comfy to fly in, and they work for me. Dan

At 5'8, the taylorcraft fits me perfectly! When I was in my early 20's, I used to love to fly my Taylorcraft bearfoot in the 100 degree Missouri Summers. But I had to slip my shoes on for takeoff and landing. Or I suppose if I was instructing.

Size nine tennies, perfect fit. Those Kart shoes look pretty spiffy though. Good point Mike: Don't prop in flops. Or? Never flip in flops. Or--don't flip in flops or you may flail your feet and fall flat on your face. Ok, Ok, I quit.

Watching you climb in must be quite a show. And I thought that I had problems getting in. (I'm 6'1").
I wear boxing shoes when I fly. It is something that I learned back when I was racing short track stock cars. The "feel" is the same as being barefoot, but with some protection for the soles of your feet.

                  Re: flying bare foot

Whilst finishing up my shopping today, I noticed one of our local shoe stores is now carrying SAS shoes, so I stopped for a peek. They are just as ugly as I remember....maybe uglier. They better be damn comfortable!

I fly in flips during the summer months. If I don't feel solid flipping the prop, I just flip them off my feet. I should get the reward for the most redundant use of the word flip.........and the most flippant use of the word redundant.
