Just added a center consol to hold my GPS and the 7.5 ampere hour battery that powers my Icom A-200 radio and Turn Coordinator. This is my first try at adding a picture.. see if it works.

Re: Center Consol
That looks good....how many volts is the battery? I'd like to have a rechargeable battery to run my old Icom and my Garmin 295. The Garmin's a great GPS, but it sucks the life out of those AA batteries in a hurry.
Your's look like a very clean set-up. I normally mount the GPS on that little diagonal tube at the top front corner of the windshield. It's easy to view, out of the way and doesn't block the outside view too badly.
Any additional info would be much appreciated.

Re: Center Consol
My battery is a 12 volt 7.5 amp hr. made by Werker. Panosonic and probably lots of other companies have it.. you can find it on the internet..I used brass .032 plate from Ace hardware for the straps, Brass is very ductile, strong and is easily bent with out cracking.. the twin outlets are from radio shack and I glued them to the side of the battery. A charged battery last about 4 hours, depending on how much you transmit, when it gets below 12 volts the A-200 Icom does not want to transmit, receiveing is no problem and niether is the GPS.Walter Hake TF#
