  • Looking for a BC12D

I'm new to the forum. I've been looking for an airplane to fill the vacuum left from the sale of my C-195A. Had to give it up due to medical. Anyway I've flown the Tcraft, the Aeroncas, and the Luscombe at one time or another and I guess I like the Tcraft the best. In any case I am in the market for one. Normally I'd stray towards the project direction and although that is always an option I'd really like a prestine beauty should anyone be willing to give up one.

FWIW, I live outside of St. Louis and was able to drive up to see the 46' BC12D project currently listed in Barnstormers. Hmmmm. The ad said it was an "easy fix". At first glance it looked like a ground loop but it only took a few minutes to realize that the left bungee tube had rusted clean through and the plane collapsed straight on. Wonder what all the rest of the tubing on that airframe would look like if you could see inside?

    Thanks,

    Tim

Welcome and good hunting! I was in a C-195 (Jacobs 330) partnership in the early '60's based at Van Nuys, and now am a new owner of a BC-65. The T-Craft brings a smile to my face every time I fly it.

There are 3500 registered T-Crafts, there must be one out there forsale that has been given good care. Be sure to do a pre buy, I was lucky found a BC12D last year. Just finished my first annual, can't find a thing wrong, even tho it had a rough history. Run an ad in Trade a Plane.. incidently if you leave one a out your last name it would be the same as mine...I dropped my medical last year sold my Beechcraft and became a sport pilot.
