You should go by Laporte airport and check out what kind of T-craft parts Robert Wagstaff still has there. The registered forum member tim, I don't know his real name, is working on his BC-12D there also.

We have 3 Tcrafts at Shaw field (grass strip) in Robert, Louisiana (near Hammond). Not far off of your path between Illinois and New Orleans. 193? BL-65, '41 BC-12, and my '46 BC-12.

It's dead there during the week. But on the weekends, lively.

It's not adviseable to go peering into the hangars if it looks like no one's there because, like many rural parts of America, the neighbors are well armed and consider dealing with strangers their personal responsibility.

If you're interested, let me know.
